American Medical Response Holds Safety Fair To Celebrate National EMS Week / Demonstrates EMS Techniques With Local Fire and Police Departments
West Sacramento, CA May 20, 2006
– Your local ambulance provider for Sacramento, Placer, and Yolo Counties will host a Safety Fair in honor of National Emergency Services Week. National EMS Week recognizes the lifesaving care EMS providers offer on 24-hours-a-day, 7-days-a-week basis. EMS Week is also a time to educate both adults and children on topics such as injury prevention, recognizing an emergency, and what to do until help arrives.American Medical Response in conjunction with local police and fire departments will demonstrate the disciplines of their work. Child fingerprinting will be provided at no cost and entered into a national database. Area hospitals will provide health screenings and valuable tips on how to maintain a healthy lifestyle. Children's activities include free goodies, games, and the popular bounce house.
