Bloomin' Crazy, a plant fair
BLOOMIN' CRAZY, A PLANT FAIR March 1, 2008, from 9 am to 4 pm is the third annual Bloomin' Crazy. Visit with gardening clubs and plant experts; get inspired to start your spring gardens. The Zoo has a significant plant collection and local organizations will educate visitors about gardening and plants. Plants serve a number of functions here at the Zoo. Some are used as cover or shelter and some, such as bamboo, acacia and mirror plants, are grown as browse (fresh treats) for the animals. To promote the Zoo's gardens and plants in general, we plan to involve local plant societies, garden stores, nurseries and more. The Sacramento Zoo is located near the corner of Land Park Drive and Sutterville Road in William Land Park and is open daily from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. General admission for ages 13 and over is $9.00. Admission for ages 3-12 is $6.50. Children two and under are admitted free. For more information, please call 916-808-5888 or visit saczoo.com.
