The River City Jr. Raiders will be hosting a Community BBQ and they would like to invite all fellow Chamber Members to set up a booth if they would like to show case their business to all of the community that comes out to our event. We will be offering free Hotdogs, soda, and chips to all that attend. We are asking everyone to donate a can food good in return for the free food so that we can then donate the can goods to a food bank. At the present time I have the Fire Dept. and the police Dept. attending the event. I'm also working on getting a Sacramento semi-pro team to attend and have some of their cheerleaders and football players come out and autograph pictures for all the kids. All that anyone would have to do if they would like to attend and set up a booth is to bring their own pop-up tent and maybe a little something for people, especially the kids that come by your table. Last years BBQ was great people went and checked out each of the booths that were set-up the kids chased each other around and parents talked and discussed up and coming events around the community. When I first thought of doing this event it was mainly to bring the community together and with being a fellow chamber member I used being a part of the youth program to bring our business and families together in a positive and fun way. I hope you will take advantage of this free event to be able to get information about your business out to the community and to maybe get to know a couple of new people in West Sac.
