LOCALLY GROWN, FRESH FOOD FOR ALL IS ACHIEVABLE! Yolo Food Bank and The Center for Land-Based Learning invite you to join us on Friday, October 4 for "The Palate Project." Our collaborative project "Food Bank Farmers" will benefit from this fundraising event presented by Nugget Markets and hosted by the Roberty Mondavi Institute for Wine and Food Science. Food Bank Farmers offers beginning farmers, who are students in CLBL's California Farm Academy, the opportunity to learn their trade with hands-on farm management, crop planning and field work at a 1.5 farm plot near Davis. All of the food grown is harvested by volunteers and donated to YFB for their Kid's Farmers Market, Children's Harvest, and other food distribution programs. Please come and support our goal of ensuring access to locally grown fresh produce for everyone in Yolo County...and, please your palate too! Tickets are $40 and are available at Nugget Markets, rmiucdavis.edu, and landbasedlearning.org
