Join the Cities of West Sacramento and Sacramento for a Lantern Festival! Saturday, March 23 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. 201 C Street, West Sacramento Parking Lot (at the base of the I Street Bridge) The festival will include a 0.8-mile lantern walk with live music and entertainment. The walk will begin at 7:30 pm. Arrive early to create a one-of-a-kind LED lantern from 6-7p.m. that you can carry as you walk across the bridge! We encourage you to come by foot, bike, or transit! There will be a complimentary bike valet provided by SABA for those who would like to bike to the event. Street parking is available on the West Sacramento side. Want to create a lantern for the festival, but not sure where to start? Join us at one of our lantern creation workshops led by artists Robin Hill, UC Davis faculty member and Robert Ortbal, Sacramento State faculty member. Saturday, March 2 11:00 – 4:00 pm, West Sacramento Community Center 1075 West Capitol Avenue, West Sacramento Saturday, March 9 2:00 – 7:00 pm, Verge Center for the Arts 625 S Street, Sacramento Workshops are FREE, so bring your friends, family, and ideas!
