Children's Home Society of California (CHS) is a nonprofit organization founded in 1891 by Dr. Mrs. J. R Townsend to address the plight of California's homeless and abandoned children. Since that time CHS has worked diligently to protect our community's children and strengthen their families through diverse programs and services. CHS depends on financial support from a number of sources including private donations and donations raised by CHS Auxiliaries through fundraising events.
