DESCRIPTION:Can you run like a Zebra? Find out Sunday\, April 14 at the 39th Annual ZooZoom which benefits the Sacramento Zoo. There are options for everyone from a 5K run/walk (3.1 miles) to a 10K run (6.2 miles). The 5K run/walk & 10K run will lead participants through beautiful Land Park and finish near the back entrance to the Zoo. Proceeds from the 2019 ZooZoom will go towards animal care and enrichment. Feeding animals and keeping them occupied can be a difficult and expensive task. In order to keep their minds and skills sharp a variety of enrichments need to be made daily. Enrichments emulate foraging for food and the use of skills that would be necessary in the wild. More than 500 animals call the Sacramento Zoo home\; help fill their bellies and minds.
