DESCRIPTION:Catch the stunning landscapes of painter Teresa Steinbach-Garcia\nthroughout the month of January at Gallery 1855 located at the historic Cemetery District. Teresa's solo\nexhibition will run throughout the month of January with a special\nartist reception held Sunday\, January 10\, 2016 from 1-4:00pm. A native\nCalifornian and a Design graduate of The University of California at\nDavis\, Teresa Steinbach-Garcia works in a painterly realistic style to\nrecord her world be it landscape\, still life or portrait. Inspired by\nartists as varied as Andrew Wyeth\, Michael Reardon and Kim Lordier she\ncombines her background in watercolor with a new interest in pastels to\ncapture the nuance of light and place\, and interpret impressions of the\nman made and nature-made worlds.\n\nRecent exhibits and awards include The Crocker Art Auction 2013 and\n2014\, the Crocker Kingsley 2015\, California Art Club-Beauty of the\nSeasons at the Pence Gallery 2015 and ''Where the Wild Things Are''\, 2nd\nPlace and inclusion in the Live Auction.\n\nShe regularly teaches watercolor both beginning and studio at the Elk\nGrove Fine Arts Center.\n\nShe is a member of the California Watercolor Association\, Sacramento\nFine Arts Center and W.A.S.H. as well as The Sacramento Chapter of the\nCalifornia Art Club\, Pastel Society of the West Coast and American Women\nArtists.\n\nGallery 1855 is located at the Davis Cemetery District 820 Pole Line\nRoad and is open Monday-Friday 9-3:00pm and by appointment.
