West Sac
Chamber Goes Green as Drop-off Location for CFL Recycling Program
West Sacramento residents
can drop their used compact fluorescent bulbs (CFLs) and tubes
for recycling at the Chamber office, weekdays from 9 am to 5 pm,
at no charge. This Project Pride recycling effort
is a partnership between PG&E, The West Sacramento Chamber and
the City of West Sacramento.

Transportation Commission Approves $10 Million for Port Channel
Deepening
The Port of Sacramento today announced
that the California Transportation Commission (CTC) has voted to
provide $10 million from the Proposition 1B Trade Corridor
Improvement Fund for a project to deepen the Port’s 43-mile ship
channel from 30 feet to 35 feet.
