Letter from President
West Sacramento has hit a home run when
it comes to developing a community based on teamwork between
residents, businesses and government. With its convenient
location near the metropolitan capital of the state and its
small town convenience, including new homes and shopping
centers, West Sacramento finds itself as one of the most
desirable cities to be found. Plus, our community basks in
the pride of being the home of the championship Triple A
baseball Sacramento River Cats and the jewel of a ballpark
known as Raley Field.
Our population has reached 47,900 with more than 1,600
businesses and that is just the start. Housing developments
ranging from the 7,100 acre Southport area to multi-family,
affordable residences are attracting families who want to
enjoy a hometown lifestyle with the convenience of big city
shopping, entertainment and recreation.
The established urban area of West Sacramento features a
unique blend of multicultural dining, retail, business
services and homes. West Sacramento has joined its neighbor
across the river to dramatically change the riverfront,
including the development of the scenic River Walk.
Teamwork is seen in how West Sacramento city officials, the
Chamber, business and civic leaders, residents and service
groups work together to create a place that honors tradition
and welcomes new ideas.
Please join the West Sacramento Chamber of Commerce in
celebrating where we have been, what we have become, and the
unlimited future that lies before us.
